I was amused by a spot of lampoon that landed in my inbox early this morning which emmanates from Robbie in Switzerland:

My friend, who is in politics at the moment, recently received a cheque for £5,000 from the NEC for not fielding candidates.
I would now like to join the "not fielding candidates" business. In your opinion, what is the best kind of constituency not to field candidates in and which is the best breed of candidates not to field? I want to be sure I approach this endeavour in keeping with all government policies, as dictated by the Representation of the People Act etc.
I would prefer not to field Scottish candidates, but if this is not the type you want not fielding, I will just as gladly not field Cornish ones. Are there any advantages in not fielding famous candidates such as Kilroys or Winston McKenzies, or are there too many partys already not fielding these? As I see it, the hardest part of this programme will be keeping an accurate record of how many candidates I haven't fielded for the Electoral Commission. Are there any Government or Local Authority courses on this?
Incidentally, I wonder if I would be eligible to receive tradable carbon credits for all these candidates not producing harmful and polluting leaflets and hot air?
In view of the above, you will realise that I will be totally unemployed, and will therefore qualify for unemployment benefits. I shall of course be voting for your party at the next general election.

Dear Sir,
My friend, in farming at the moment, received a check for £3,000 from the government for not raising pigs. So, I want to go into the "not raising pigs" business next year.
What I want to know is, in your opinion, what is the best kind of farm not to raise pigs on, and what is the best breed of pigs not to raise? I want to be sure that I approach this endeavour in keeping with all government policies, as dictated by the EUropean Union under the CAP. I would prefer not to raise bacon pigs, but if that is not a good type not to raise, then I will just as gladly not raise Yorkshires or Gloucester Spots.
As I see it, the hardest part of this program will be in keeping an accurate inventory of how many pigs I haven't raised.
My friend is very joyful about the future of the business. He has been raising pigs for twenty years or so, and the best he ever made on them was £1,422 in 1968, until this year when he got your check for £3,000 for not raising pigs.
If I get £3,000 for not raising 50 pigs, will I get £6,000 for not raising 100 pigs? I plan to operate on a small scale at first, holding myself down to about 4,000 pigs not raised, which will mean about £240,000 the first year. Then I can afford an airplane.
Now another thing, these pigs I will not raise will not eat 100,000 bushels of corn. I understand that you also pay farmers for not raising corn and wheat. Will I qualify for payments for not raising wheat and corn not to feed the 4,000 pigs I am not going to raise?
Also, I am considering the "not milking cows" business, so please send me any information you have on that too. Also please can I have the government propaganda on set aside, what is the maximum amount of land one can set aside? As I wish to comply with the government’s desire to squander tax payers money and also promote ‘e’ commerce can ‘set aside’ be done on an 'e’ commerce' basis on virtual reality land?
In view of these circumstances, you understand that I will be totally unemployed, and plan to file for unemployment and full benefits.

TO LEAVE THE EU
What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples - they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU's CAP - In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we thus leave our children and the future, with shame!
