Hi,
It being EUkip conference week I note that EUkip Conference programme has provided an advertisement for UKIP.biz, thereby proclaiming it as approved or one assumes an official site.
To save fiddling about the entire text is published below in plain text, with a few observations which you may find of help!

Distribution of leaflets and other papers
Folding your leaflets
Most people think it is a good idea to fold and collate leaflets before leaving home.
Some people think an interesting picture such as the logo or a photo should be on the outside.
Others think that the outside should look boring, so that it MUST be opened before it goes in the bin.
Timing of leafletting
There is a problem with your password. Please make "Contact". See index on left.
Choosing fruitful areas
Some areas are more fruitful than others.
These criteria can be applied as you go along, or in advance.
Positive indications:
Lots of voters in the area, as shown by Marked Register.
St George flag(s) displayed.
Areas where travel time between front doors is low.
Negative indications:
Long drives
Security gates
Scruffy ("tricycles in long grass")
Skips
"Sold" or "For Sale" signs
Houses on one side of road only (wastes time as you walk back)
Lots of other deliveries on same day, eg post and free newspapers
Lots of commercial premises
Boundary of ward - usually too commercial, or housing on one side only, or risk of double delivery, or otherwise a waste of time.
When starting on a ward, drive round and find the most profitable streets first.
Planning your route
Maps: use the register of voters to mark the outline of your ward, division, etc.
Walking away
Leave gates closed, or as you found them.
If you cross lawns or hop over fences to shorten the distance to the next letter box, be ready to grovel and apologise. It is not good to upset the voters.

Canvassed register
Canvassed Register refers to the Register which is marked with our research results.
Unlike the old parties, UKIP has not built up records. Nor do we have huge computers. Therefore this paragraph probably does not apply to your branch.
Here is an idea: find out who is the voter's second choice. Is it UKIP? If so canvass them hard.

BASIC CANVASSING TECHNIQUE
Good fun
Canvassing is normally good fun.
Don't be frightened of canvassing.
With all canvassing:
You must enjoy it (if you don't, don't do it).
Have conviction. We hope that you have been briefed by the local candidate as to why that candidate wants to be elected and what he will do when he has been elected.
Don't be patronising or talk down to the opposition.
Remember that we ARE politicians. So .... don't be rude about politicians. Don't talk down the opposition
You are seeking to listen, not to preach.
Don't waffle about things you don't know, say you don't know, it gives you credibility and integrity.
Door to door canvassing:
Canvassing alone is fine unless you are scared to do that.
If you are two people, you could use the leapfrog method. This means you only canvass if you are ahead of the other person.
Approaching a house
Ring all bells. Listen to hear the bells. If you cannot hear any bell, knock.
Knock on the door confidently (but don't knock the door down!)
Then step back 6 feet.
When the door opens step up 3 feet.
Leaving a house
Always shut the gate.

It may be good to write to all the Poster Bank confirming that you will, if you do not get a reply at the door, assume that permission continues and hoist the poster.
As the campaign begins, hoist all posters listed on your Poster Bank.
Ladders
Use ladder with stabilisers.

Printing leaflets, newspapers and posters
It is best to use the official UKIP printing executive for your print orders. That is better and cheaper than other solutions.

Let us hope with this kind of training - notably last updated in 2008 - will lead to better publicity for those who wish to see Britain leave the EU than did last years conference.
You will remember there were only two articles about the conference and they were based upon a vitriolic and damaging story provided by the bitter Ms. Fuller and seemed to lack any credibility as it was an open secret that despite Farage trying to hang onto this foul mouthed liability who had so damaged UKIP with her childish behaviour and betrayal of trust under the Data Protection Act, such that John Wittacker resigned as Chairman issuing an implausible letter as an apologia of EUkip's behaviour!
The publicity in The Independent and a near copy thereof by Peter Oborne in The Daily Mail on the Saturday did no one any favours, UKIP, EUkip, Farage, Fuller or the journalists used as patsies to plant the story.
TO LEAVE THE EU
What is the exit and survival plan for these United Kingdoms to maximise on the many benefits of leaving The EU. It is the DUTY of our Politicians and Snivil Cervants to ensure the continuity, liberty and right to self determination of our peoples they have a DUTY to protect against crime and secure both our food and our border.
NONE of these DUTIES has a single British politician upheld for 40 years. They have drawn their incomes fraudulently and dishonesty.
Politicians are failing to tell the truth, but so are almost all wanabe Politicians, the MSM and Snivil Cervants.
The fact is that even if EVERY British MEP wanted change in The EU it would achieve NOTHING.
Every single British Politician, of EVERY Party, elected since before we joined the EUropean Common Market, has promised to change The EU's CAP - In 40 Years they have achieved absolutely NOTHING!
To try to put a value on OUR Freedom is as futile as floccipaucinihilipilification and as odious as the metissage of our societies, as we rummage in the ashes of our ancestors dreams, sacrifices and achievements, the flotsam of our hopes and the jetsam of our lives, consider the Country and Anglosphere which we leave our children and the future, with shame!
